Notes – We tested a variety of images and videos across different products and categories to assess the impact of each creative style on ad performance. Throughout the month, we monitored the results closely, adjusting budgets to prioritise the best-performing ads and maximise their impact.

Notes – We introduced new video ads with a similar style to last month’s top performers for the retargeting campaign. This included six videos, each highlighting different product categories and showcasing the unique health and well-being benefits they offer for dogs.

Notes – We introduced a number of different reels, focusing more of the budget on the ads that performed well in the previous month to see even bigger results.

Month 8 – 8th November 2024 - 7th December 2024

Notes – Ahead of Black Friday, we implemented automated scaling rules to increase budgets on high-performing ads. This allowed us to gradually scale while maintaining efficiency and maximising seasonal demand.

Notes – Following a strong start to the month due to the Christmas rush, performance dipped during the holiday period. As orders began to rebound post-New Year, we introduced the retargeting Shopify catalogue to support recovery and stabilise performance.

Notes – As some high-performing creatives began to lose traction, we introduced a new content angle using comedy-style reels. These stood out and quickly became top performers, prompting us to shift focus towards this style moving forward.

Month 12 – 8th March 2025 - 7th April 2025

ROAS – 8.87

Notes – Performance from both catalogue campaigns declined significantly. In response, we tested a discount code exclusive to ads to boost conversions. Towards the end of the month, we concluded that the standard Shopify catalogue outperformed the retargeting catalogue when targeting cold audiences.

Month 10 – 8th January 2025 - 7th February 2025

Purchase Conversion Value – £17,327.92

ROAS – 9.94

Notes – Underperforming ads were replaced with fresh creatives, which significantly improved performance. The refreshed strategy led to nearly 500 orders directly attributed to paid social in a single month.
